Ted Bundy

Ted Bundy Chart

  1. A lesson in cardinal houses. In the Ted Bundy Chart, Cardinal houses will dominate, and here, one in particular, with the added factor of having Jupiter at the ‘gate.’   Just organically, do you think the wildness and willfulness of Sag is a good blend with ruthless and relentless, taboo-breaking Scorpio?  The I.C. is the seat of consciousness, and with all the planets here, we have a representation of a psyche that is self-contained and self-absorbed. This person is a law unto himself, and doesn’t answer to any other rule or authority–these planets have nothing to hang onto, to relate to.   There is nothing for the psyche to hook itself to in the outside world, save for the rather troubled Uranus opposing –yes—Mars, the Moon, and the Black Moon.
  2. Both Pluto and Saturn are conjunct in Leo and buried, hidden in the 12th house. This can either be projected onto the victims or taken in as a god-like representation of the psyche (adding to the ego and the penchant for destruction—Saturn/Pluto is nothing if not destructive). Fortuna adds the pulse of fate. Pluto is squaring the MC/IC, a stimulus for the inner world of the IC to manifest externally. All of this energy is operating without awareness, except for a square to Jupiter and Venus.
  3. The South Node in Sag is often indicative of an inborn wildness. Yes, sometimes it can be philosophical, but not with a Mars/Moon conjunction on it, and with the BML in tow.   There is a violence which can manifest in Moon/Mars. Most of the time they are simply over prickly and touchy. But Moon/Mars is also capable of inflicting damage on itself and others.
  4. You might think that the Venus/Mercury/Juno conjunction is ‘safe.’ Not when it is quincunx that problematic Uranus, which rules the Descendant.
  5. I think the Vesta is a weird influence here. In the 8th house squaring the Uranus/BML opposition. Vesta can turn anything into an object of fixation, something we are obsessed with, something that dominates our psyche. Bad Vesta! Also, mutable emphasis can contribute to a general lack of moral fiber—everything is relative, therefore, can be wriggled out of or justified.
  6. Pallas on the Vertex can show obsessive thinking—in the fifth house we can be thinking about how we can hook up (remembering that the 5th house is our more casual sexual expression, the egoic encounter rather than genuine relationship flow).
  7. As has been mentioned in the comments, the new moon phase of Bundy’s natal chart is important. New Moons do what they want on the whole and go their own way; another phase of the Moon may have not be so daring nor compulsive.

There is, of course, more that can be said and discussed.  I’m going to stop here.  If anyone would like to add comments, please do.

  1. I came across this in wikipedia about Ted Bundy and what he said:
    >>”The big payoff for me,” he said, “was actually possessing whatever it was I had stolen. I really enjoyed having something … that I had wanted and gone out and taken.” Possession proved to be an important motive for rape and murder as well. Sexual assault, he said, fulfilled his need to “totally possess” his victims. At first he killed the women “as a matter of expediency … to eliminate the possibility of [being] caught”; but later, murder became part of the “adventure”. “The ultimate possession was, in fact, the taking of the life,” he said. “And then … the physical possession of the remains.”<<

Neptune ruling 8th house placed in 2nd?? Ultimate possession is possesing someone's life. Vesta in 8th in Pisces. Drive to merge with the unobtainable.

    1. In this case, definitely, drive to merge with the unobtainable. There is something sacred/ritualistic about the need to possess. Neptune in the 2nd often has unfulfilled desires and hungers. In a spiritual person, it would lead to a spiritual questing, but this is not a spiritual chart.

  2. I would have thought this was a pretty spiritual placement ..all that Neptune in 2nd ruling 8th house Vesta. -__-

May be thats why one should look at the personal ruler to see how one will actually carry that transpersonal energy out? (Jupiter in Scorpio sq Pluto)

  3. Thanks, D for this interpretation )) I have Neptune ruling 8th house on IC in Scorpio and I can assure you I do not have these urges to posses someone’s life.
