How to Read Your
Sacred Mirror Report

A Plain-English Companion Guide

Your Sacred Mirror report is a deep-dive into the living dynamic between you and your partner — the friction, the flow, the pull toward each other, and the places where you grow. It was written for those who want the full picture, which means some of the language is rooted in astrology’s technical vocabulary.

This guide translates that vocabulary into plain English, section by section, so you can move through the report with ease. You don’t need to be an astrologer. You just need to be curious about you.

Key Terms at a Glance

HouseOne of twelve areas of life in a birth chart — things like career, home, relationships, and resources. When a planet “activates” someone’s 7th house, it means it’s lighting up their relationship zone.
OrbHow closely two planets align. A 0.08-degree orb is essentially exact — powerfully felt. A 3-degree orb is still meaningful but softer. Tighter = stronger.
RulerEach house has a planet that “governs” it. When a planet rules a house, what that planet does in a relationship spills into that area of life.
AscendantYour rising sign — the face you lead with when you walk into a room. It’s your first impression, your instinctive way of engaging the world.
Velcro PointA connection between you that sticks — by design. It can be delightful or challenging, but it’s not accidental. These are the places where you catch on each other.
Acute BondAn aspect (angle between two planets) that is especially tight — usually under 1 degree. These are the most charged, defining connections in a synastry chart.
Karmic ThreadA connection involving the North or South Node — points in the chart linked to soul-level purpose and patterns carried across time. These contacts feel fated.
Time LordA planet that “rules” a particular period of your life according to certain timing systems. When active, its themes become louder in your experience.

Section 01

The Natal Portrait

Before looking at how two people interact, the report looks at each person individually. This section describes what each of you brings to a relationship — your emotional needs, your communication style, what makes you feel loved, how you assert yourself. Think of it as the blueprint of your inner architecture before anyone else enters the picture. It tells you what the relationship is working with.

Section 02

The First Impression Bond — appears in some reports

This section appears when there’s a striking connection specifically between your Ascendants and personal planets — the parts of the chart that shape how you first experience each other. It describes the instant chemistry (or friction) you feel before you even know much about each other. Some pairs have an immediate, unmistakable recognition. This section captures that.

Section 03

The Central Relationship Metaphor

Every pair has an underlying shape — a recurring dynamic that shows up in how you move through life together. The report distills this into a single image or metaphor drawn from your charts. It’s not poetic decoration; it’s a shorthand for the whole relationship’s architecture. When you find yourself saying “that’s exactly us” — this is probably the section you’re quoting.

Section 04

The Acute Bond Activations

This is the heart of the report. Each Acute Bond is a specific connection between one of your planets and one of your partner’s, listed in order of closeness (orb). The tighter the orb, the more this bond defines the relationship.

Each entry explains: what the connection is, what it means for each person, and how it shows up in real life. Some are harmonious (sextiles and trines — easy, flowing energy). Some are challenging (squares and oppositions — friction that demands something of you). Both matter. The challenging ones are often where the most growth lives.

Look for the phrase velcro point in each entry — it names the specific way this bond makes you stick to each other.

Section 05

The Soul Architecture

If the Acute Bonds are individual bricks, the Soul Architecture is the whole building. This section steps back and describes the foundational structure of the relationship — the handful of connections that most define your dynamic as a pair. It looks at the biggest themes: how you see each other, what you mirror back, what you ask of each other at the deepest level.

Section 06

The Karmic Thread — appears in some reports

This section appears when there are significant contacts between one person’s planets and the other’s North or South Node. The Nodes are points in the chart connected to destiny and deep pattern — what your soul is moving toward (North Node) and what it carries from the past (South Node). Karmic Thread connections often feel less chosen than known. There’s a sense of “we’ve been here before.”

Section 07

The Saturn Test

Saturn is the planet of structure, responsibility, time, and longevity. When one person’s Saturn connects with the other’s chart, it asks a serious question: Can this hold? Saturn contacts can feel sobering or even heavy at first — one person brings a kind of gravity to the other’s life. But Saturn is also what makes things last. This section examines whether your connection has the bones to endure.

Section 08

The Comfort Axis

This section looks at where the relationship feels easiest, warmest, most naturally nourishing. These are the connections between your Moons, Venus, and other emotional planets that create a sense of home with each other. It’s the part of the report that describes what it feels like to relax into this relationship — what’s effortless, what’s sweet, where you exhale.

Section 09

The Desire Axis

Where the Comfort Axis is about ease, the Desire Axis is about drive — attraction, ambition, creative spark, and erotic charge. This section looks at how your Mars (desire, initiative, will) and Sun (identity, vitality) energies interact. Does one person tend to lead? Do you energize or exhaust each other? Where does your shared heat live?

Section 10

The Invisible Tapestry — House Overlays

Every planet in your chart falls into a specific house in your partner’s chart. This section maps where your energies land in each other’s lives. For example, if your Sun falls in your partner’s 10th house (career and public life), your very presence tends to make them think about their ambitions and legacy. These “overlays” are subtle but constant — they describe the background hum of how you affect each other’s day-to-day world.

Sections 11 & 12

Outer Planet Contacts & The Retrograde Retrieval — appear in some reports

Outer Planet Contacts examines connections involving Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto — slow-moving planets whose influence is generational and transformative. When they make tight contact with a partner’s personal planets, they can feel fated, electric, or profound. These are the connections that change you.

The Retrograde Retrieval appears when one or more planets in the chart are retrograde (appearing to move backward from Earth’s perspective). A retrograde planet internalizes its energy — its expression is turned inward, often more complex and layered. This section explores how that interiority shapes what you bring to the relationship.

Section 13

Relationship Synthesis

This is the summary — your relationship’s report card in the best sense. It names the three greatest strengths of your connection, the two edges where the most growth is possible, and the single defining gift: the one quality that is most rare and most yours. If you only read one section, read this one last (not first — the rest of the report earns it).

Section 14

Partner Rituals

The report closes with three embodied practices — small rituals designed for you to do together. Each one is drawn directly from a specific dynamic in your charts and given a somatic anchor: a physical gesture or posture that helps the two of you feel the dynamic in your bodies rather than just understand it in your minds. These aren’t generic relationship advice. They’re tailored to your exact configuration.
