How to Read Your
Celestial Roadmap Report

A Plain-English Companion Guide

Your Celestial Roadmap is a personal forecast built from the precise positions of the planets in relation to your natal chart right now. It tells you not what is happening in the sky in general — but what the sky is doing to you, specifically, in this particular year of your life.

It draws on ancient Hellenistic timing techniques alongside contemporary transit analysis to give you a layered picture of where your energy is being called, what you are being asked to build, and what the year’s defining theme actually is. Some of the language is technical. This guide translates it so you can read your report with ease.

Key Terms at a Glance

Transit
A planet moving through the sky today making contact with a planet in your birth chart. Transits are the main events of the report — each one describes a current planetary pressure or opportunity.
Natal planet
A planet exactly where it was when you were born. Your natal chart is a fixed map. Transiting planets move across it constantly.
Orb
How closely a transiting planet aligns with your natal planet. A 0.3° orb is almost exact — powerfully felt right now. A 2° orb is approaching or separating — still active but gentler.
House
One of twelve areas of life in your chart — career, relationships, home, creativity, and so on. When a transit activates your 10th house, it is touching your public life and ambitions.
Annual Profection
An ancient technique that identifies one house of your chart as the “active theme” for each year of your life. At age 30 you are in your 7th house profection year — relationships and partnership become the year’s central arena.
Time Lord
The planet that “governs” your profection year. It is the ruling planet of whatever house is active for your age. When the Time Lord is also being transited by another planet, those transits are amplified — they carry extra weight for this specific year. Learn more →
Solar Return
The moment each year when the Sun returns to the exact degree it was at when you were born — usually within a day of your birthday. The chart cast for that moment describes the emotional tone and key themes of the entire year ahead.
Acute Activation
A transit that is both very tight in orb AND involves your Time Lord planet — making it one of the most significant moments in your forecast window. These are the events the year pivots on.
Retrograde
When a planet appears to move backward from Earth’s perspective. Retrograde planets turn their energy inward — they call for review, revision, and retrieval rather than forward momentum.
Your Invitation
The specific action or orientation each transit is asking of you — not what might happen, but what you are being called to do or become in response.

Section 01

The Annual Profection & Your Time Lord

This is the Hellenistic spine of your entire report. Before looking at any individual transit, the report identifies which house of your chart is “active” this year based on your age — and names the planet that governs it.

Think of it this way: every year of your life has a theme determined by where you are in a 12-year cycle. At age 24 you are in your 1st house year (identity). At 25, your 2nd (resources). At 36, your 1st again. The report tells you which house your current age falls in, what that house governs, and which planet rules it.

That ruling planet — your Time Lord — becomes the lens for the entire year. When you see it mentioned throughout the report, it is being flagged as especially significant for this year specifically, not just in general.

If the report says your Time Lord is Jupiter and you are in a 10th house profection year, then all Jupiter transits — and all transits to your 10th house — carry extra weight this year. The year has a career and public-life flavour, governed by expansion.

Section 02

The Solar Return — appears in some reports

This section appears when your report is ordered within approximately two weeks of your birthday — when your Solar Return is active or imminent. The Solar Return chart is cast for the exact moment the Sun returns to its natal degree, and it describes the emotional tone, key life arenas, and central challenges of the year ahead.

The report looks at two things specifically: where the Solar Return Ascendant falls (the “mask” the year asks you to wear — how you will need to show up) and where the Solar Return Moon falls (your emotional assignment for the year — what your inner life will be processing). These are then cross-referenced with your profection house to give a layered picture of the year.

Section 03

The Acute Activations — appears when qualifying transits are present

Not all transits are equal. An Acute Activation is a transit that meets all three of the following conditions at once: it is very tight in orb (almost exact), it involves a planet that is your Time Lord or touches your profection house, and it is therefore one of the most structurally significant moments in your forecast window.

These receive their own standalone sections in the report because they are not background noise — they are pivotal. Read these carefully. They describe specific moments or periods where the year’s central theme comes into sharpest focus and asks the most of you.

Section 04

The Transit Timeline

This is the main body of the report — a coherent narrative of the significant planetary transits active in your chart across the forecast period. Each transit is named, its orb noted, and its meaning interpreted specifically for your chart.

Outer planets move slowly. Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto transits last months or years. They describe background conditions — the weather you are living inside — rather than single events. When the report says Saturn is transiting your 7th house, it means your entire approach to commitment is under pressure for an extended stretch.

The Time Lord transits carry double weight. Whenever a planet transits your Time Lord planet — or when your Time Lord transits something in your chart — the report flags this as especially significant for your current profection year.

Each entry closes with Your Invitation. This is not a prediction of what will happen. It is a prompt for how to meet the transit consciously — what orientation or action the planetary energy is calling for.

Section 05

The Outer Planet Passages

Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto move so slowly that their transits describe long arcs of your life rather than individual moments. This section addresses the weight of any outer planet currently making significant contact with your chart — not as crisis, but as long-term restructuring.

These are the transits that change you at the level of identity and worldview. A Pluto transit to your Sun does not produce a single event — it produces a years-long process of dismantling and rebuilding who you are at the core. The report frames these passages as the background architecture within which all other transits are occurring.

Section 06

The Retrograde Passages — appears when relevant

When a planet stations retrograde — appearing to reverse direction — and it makes contact with a natal planet in your chart at that moment, the energy turns inward. This section addresses what the retrograde is retrieving for you: what from the past is being returned for conscious integration, what you are being asked to revise before moving forward.

Retrograde passages are not setbacks. They are calls for review. The report frames them as an opportunity to complete something that was left unfinished before the planet moves forward again.

Section 07

Your Invitations — Summary

Throughout the report each transit closes with a specific invitation — a one-line prompt that distills what the planetary energy is asking of you. This section gathers the most significant of those invitations into a single place.

Think of these as the year’s working instructions — not predictions, but orientations. They are designed to be returned to. The report is not a document you read once and file. The invitations are most useful when you carry them with you and notice where they become relevant in daily life.

Section 08

The Somatic Practices

The report closes with embodied practices — physical rituals designed to help you work with the year’s most significant transits rather than simply endure them. Each practice is drawn directly from a specific transit in your chart and given a somatic anchor: a physical gesture, posture, or breath pattern that helps you feel the planetary energy in your body rather than just understand it in your mind.

These are not generic mindfulness exercises. They are tailored to your specific transits and the specific tension or opportunity each one creates. A Saturn transit asking you to build structure will have a different practice than a Neptune transit asking you to surrender.

The practices are most effective when done regularly during the transit window — not as a one-time experiment but as a consistent physical conversation with the planetary weather you are living inside.

A Note on How to Use This Report

Reading it Well

Start with the Annual Profection section. Understanding your Time Lord and the year’s active theme before reading anything else will make every subsequent section more meaningful — you will see how individual transits connect to the year’s larger architecture.

Then read the Acute Activations. These are the pivotal moments and deserve careful attention.

Then read the Transit Timeline in full, returning to the Somatic Practices whenever a transit feels especially present or pressing in your current life.

The report is not a prediction of what will happen. It is a map of what is being activated — and an invitation to meet that activation consciously rather than reactively. The planets do not determine your choices. They describe the weather. You decide how to dress for it.
